The Meaning of Moharani
"Moharani" means "the great queen". A title once reserved for the most powerful and graceful women of the Mughal courts. For us, it represents every woman who has the courage to dream boldly and lead with love.
Moharani Coffee House was born from the shared dream of three immigrant sisters from Dhaka, Bangladesh. Tasneem, Tahmeed, and Tasbeeh. Growing up in a culture rich with tradition and hospitality, and serving food being their love language, they wanted to create a space in Houston that honors their heritage while embracing the vibrant energy of their new home.
Every detail of Moharani, from the Mughal-inspired arches to the signature Moharani Latte/Matcha Latte, is a love letter to the culture that raised them and the community that welcomed them.
More than a coffee shop, Moharani is a movement: female empowerment, cultural celebration, and community connection.
